what. a. movie.
a trip back in time for 10 years or more. transformers rocks. seriously.
warning: a few spoilers ahead!
so, i finally managed to go to the cinema. first time this year with dork 1 and dork 2. together we, the 3 dorks, started the evening with a short pit stop at the local subway where dork 1 paid his debts to me with a delicious bbq sandwich. being well fed we proceeded to the cinema of our choice where i grabbed some popcorn and a bottle of water and quickly “inhaled” a tasty espresso to help my stomach digest. then we, lucky as dorks are, managed to get some cool seats and after the usual boring, stupid and really bad performed advertisments, the movie started.
and what can i say? what. a. movie. seriously, this movie rocked. the storyline was cool, the cast was great, and the special effects… well, they blew my nuts off. literally. there where some tracking shots that were so stunning that i had to pick my jaw back up from the floor afterwards. also, the script from the main protagonist was very well written, funny and enjoyable. i mean, who gets the chance to say “can i ride you home” to a chick as hot as this one and get away with it?
but there was also the little stuff that cracked me up. for example, when sam picks his first car, which is actually bumblebee in car form as a camarro, the autobot is standing right next to an old, dirty, yellow volkswagen beetle, who is, for all those dorks that know it (like me), bumblebees original form in the series.
or at another time, when he and she are riding in the car-transformed bumblebee, there is an air refresher in form of a bumblebee dangling from the rearview mirror with the name tag “bee otch” on it.
or the fact that the decepticon named barricade poses as a police car with the tag “to punish and enslave” written on his side.
also, what i really enjoyed afterwards, was the fact that everything important has been said:
optimus prime: “autobots, roll out.”
starscream: “i live to serve you, lord megatron.”
megatron: “you fail me yet again, starscream.”
optimus / megatron: “it’s you and me now, megatron.” – “no, it’s just me, prime.”
anyway, if you want to see a good, solid action flick, with awesome special effects, the occassional humor and tension now and then and don’t mind giant robots devastating everything in their path i really suggest you go watch transformers.

i really enjoyed this movie! all 12 times i’ve seen it!
the fight scenes are just awesome to watch again and again and again! i’m also a bit of a car freak so i absolutely loved bumblebee’s car form (camaro) and because this movie is in what some people refer to as just one giant car ad i’m in love with it! this movie is just amazing whether watched the first time or the 10th time
Terribly sorry, i’d like to correct a mistake i put in my last comment. it seems i accidentally wrote camaro, which is completely wrong! although bumblebee may look like a camaro he is in fact not! silly me, he is a pontiac GTO, but has an identical body build to the chevrolet camaro. it’s quite acceptable to call bumblebee a camaro, but to be specific he is still a pontiac GTO that has just been rebodied.
